Our unique and selective Graduate Program is about developing the leaders of tomorrow with a tailored curriculum designed to grow, stretch and support our graduates to reach their potential. Over the three years, our graduates learn:

This knowledge is complemented by field work which allows graduates to spend time in various parts of the business, and consolidated through a variety of business simulations. Furthermore, our Executive team and senior leaders actively support and mentor graduates.

What would you like to know?

We recruit graduates into real jobs so rather than do one intake each year we recruit graduates all year round. We recruit grads into Sales, Marketing, R&D, Corporate (Finance, HR etc.), Operations and IT across our 40 plus brands.

We take graduates all year round and our graduate development program runs for three years. Every year our cohorts have full immersion workshops, usually in May and September as well as professional skills development and networking opportunities throughout the year. Access to senior leaders and executives is also a focus of the program, up to and including our CEO.

We recruit for positions right across Australia and New Zealand.

Yes! We always have multiple offerings in our DuluxGroup business. Apply for as many different positions as you are interested in.

As members of Grad Australia, we participate in as many careers fairs as possible. We prioritise virtual careers fairs as that means we can access far more graduates than attending specific, site based, universities. From time to time we may engage with local universities, predominantly in Victoria and New South Wales.

Background information on the company is essential if you wish to appear to be serious about the position and allows you to prepare knowledgeable questions. It also makes a good impression.

Check interview panel composition
How many people, names if appropriate and their positions. It is important to know if it is a single interviewer or a panel.

Prepare Questions
Asking informed questions shows interest in the organisation and the position.

Interview Questions
Be prepared to give well thought-out and clear responses to interview questions. You may also be asked behavioural / competency-based interview questions.

Behavioural interviewing or targeted selection is a technique commonly used for recruitment. Behavioural interviewing is based on the assumption that our past behaviour is the best indicator of our future behaviour.
By asking very detailed questions about your thoughts, feelings and actions on past situations, the interviewer can gather evidence on whether you possess the qualities they are seeking. The ability to transfer skills learnt in one environment to another will be explored by the interviewer so you need to be able to articulate your capabilities when responding to interview questions.

How to respond to behavioural / competency-based interview questions
A strong answer outlines the situation and/or task highlighting the context in which the events took place, the action taken in the situation and the results or outcome of these actions. Keeping a structured approach to answers allows you to more accurately convey information about yourself and subsequent skills you have developed.

We do provide study assistance for employees, when furthering education that is seen as a benefit to the company. This is assessed on a case by case basis. In addition, we have a comprehensive learning and development program for employees to gain or improve skills in a vast array of topics and disciplines.

Yes, DuluxGroup has operations in Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia, Papua New Guinea, United Kingdom and France – and we are growing year on year. This can provide opportunities to travel. Predominantly travel is domestically based and depending on your role you may also have the chance to travel overseas.
